The Monmouth Ocean Foundation For Children sponsored The Future of Blue 5K Run/2 Mile Race Walk April 18 to help raise funds to finance its new project, the Achieve Academy for Adults with Autism — a post-21 continuing education program at the Brookdale Wall campus for individuals age 21 and older with autism.

The first-ever Future of Blue Race/Walk through the borough to raise money for an autism program is planned for 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 18.
With the numbers of children and adults living with ASD growing each year, MOFFC is embarking on its largest and most important program to date, the development of a continuing education program for adults with Autism: The Achieve Academy for Adults with Autism.
The explosion of technology in all our lives has had no less affect on education. There are many nationally recognized computer software programs for use by students with autism. From iPads to Macs to PCs these programs added to touch screens and other input devices make a dramatic difference in the life of a child with autism.
